My skin has been in desperate need of exfoliation lately, especially since it’s almost summer and I want to tan nicely for once! After reading some rave reviews and being recommended some products, I decided to try out St Ives Apricot Scrub (facial) and Palmer’s Cocoa Body Scrub.

Firstly St Ives.
Like wow, I can understand why they are the UK’s No.1 Scrub Brand! I’ve used this on my face in the shower all over my face and I worked it into my neck and chest and oh-my-god my face was SO soft! It smells gorgeous, and the scent is not overpowering at all. I can already tell this will last me a long time, because there are so many exfoliants in it that you literally need the smallest amount! St Ives recommend you to use it 3-4 times a week, but I would probably only use it about twice a week personally. It feels so natural and not at all chemically, which I love. It claims to be for all skin types, and I think I would recommend it to anyone because it just does the job so well. I honestly can’t find a fault yet!! I picked it up at Wilkinson's, because they sold it for £2.88 (regular price, not on offer!), whereas in Boots and Superdrug it was over £4.

Next Palmer’s Body Scrub.
I think I’ve spent more time smelling it than using it really! Cocoa butter is one of my favourite scents ever and this does not disappoint! I picked this up on a whim in Superdrug for £4.99 the other day. I know so many people who rave about Palmer’s Cocoa Butter and it really is so good. It reminds me of being in high school when all the girls used to put the body butter on their legs in the PE changing rooms before going outside and it would just smell amazing! This doesn’t have as many exfoliating particles in it as St Ives, but still it works very well and my legs feel so smooth. This has more of a moisturising quality to it, and again feels very natural on the skin. It’s made mainly from crushed cocoa beans, mixed with shea butter, which helps to moisturize the skin and leave it feeling silky soft. When you use it you really need the smallest amount on your fingers as it goes a long way! I think a lot of people would use quite a lot of it when you don’t need to, and I would’ve too at first. But this will last a long time for me aswell, Palmer’s don’t have a recommendation on how often you need to use this, but for me I would use it no more than twice a week. I personally am going to use this before I know I’m going to be tanning, because it rids my skin of dead cells and doesn’t dry my skin out at all.
