Recently I picked up this creamsheen lipstick from MAC in the shade 'Shanghai Spice'. As usual with most MAC lipsticks it was £15. It is a warm toned dusty rose colour with a hint of brown, suitable for an everyday neutral look. I love it!

The swatch shows SS to be a shimmery frosted shade, but however on the lips as you can see below it is not nearly as shimmery, which for me is good, because I wanted to be able to use this shade for a natural everyday look. On my lips I think it has a hint of peach/orange to it, which is fine for me because I wear those shades often enough.
The lipstick is quite sheer so for a good coverage and opaque colour you need at least 2 coats. But as it is a creamsheen it is naturally creamy to apply so the texture is smooth to apply, if not a little thick after a few swipes and a tad sticky even. I wouldn't say this is particularly smudge-proof because of it's natural creaminess, as opposed to a matte finish. It is definitely moisturizing which is excellent if I want to use this regularly because I tend to get very dry and flaky lips (all the goddamn time, no matter where I am or what I'm doing!!). I wouldn't say this is particularly long lasting really, but it lasts at least 3/4 hours providing you aren't doing that much with your lips!!
I'm definetely going to be using this A LOT, especially in summer if I have days with heavier eye-make up as a neutral balance, and just on days where I feel like having a more natural look. Shanghai Spice would be perfect for anyone at work or school who can't wear bright shades or heavy make up!
